Highway Patrol Accident and Arrest Reports

Two accidents and two arrests are in the report from the Missouri Highway Patrol for the area counties.

Wednesday at about 3:30 pm, a single-vehicle accident left a passenger with moderate injuries and the driver arrested.  24-year-old Corbin Cockrell of Marceline was northbound on Route JJ, west of Marceline, when he ran off the road and struck the ditch.  Cockrell’s car was totaled and his passenger, 25-year-old Cole Green of Triplett had moderate injuries.  He was taken to Pershing Memorial Hospital for treatment.  They were not wearing safety belts.

Cockrell was arrested for alleged DWI, failing to drive on the right side of the road, and no seatbelt.  He was processed and released.

At about 9:15 pm in Linn County, a single-vehicle accident on US 36 near the Marceline Junction left the driver with minor injuries.  Twenty-six-year-old Jacob A Miller was eastbound in a Semi and lost control, he struck a guardrail and overcorrected, his truck overturned and ran off the right side of the road.  He was treated at the scene.  he was wearing a safety belt.

Troopers also report one other arrest.  At about 3:00 pm in Sullivan County, Troopers arrested 25-year-old Lindsey D Tovrea of Newtown for driving while suspended, on two Grundy County warrants for alleged failure to appear on charges of alleged possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and on a Sullivan county warrant for alleged speeding.  She was taken to the Grundy County Jail.
