The City of Chillicothe’s Success with a counseling program called 42 CARES was part of an article in The Missouri Times from Jefferson City. City Administrator Darin Chappell says the 42 CARES program was started for Fighters, but Chillicothe expanded the availability.
Chappell says the program is unique in the fact that it allows those in need of assistance to speak to others that have been in the same type of job.
Chappell says it is one the reasons Chillicothe is able to hold onto the personnel in those departments.
