A Purdin man died in a single-vehicle accident on Highway 6 near Jamesport Tuesday morning. State Troopers report 60-year-old James Loyd of Purdin died at the scene of the accident that happened at about 12:50 am. According to the report, Loyd was westbound driving a semi when he ran off the right side of the road, struck a driveway and his truck went airborne and hit the ground. The truck separated from the trailer and came ot rest at the bottom of a ditch before catching fire.
