The Chillicothe Hornets Soccer season came to an end Saturday afternoon. The Harrisonville Wildcats scored with 8:11 left in the match to beat Chillicothe 1-0 in the Quarterfinal match up.
Chillicothe ends the season with a 20-4 record. Statistical highlights for the Hornets season includes an 18-game winning streak, including 10 shut outs. They scored 76 goals and gave up only 29.
Individually Chace Corbin led the team in goals with 33 and assists with 20. Drake Cosgrove was second in both categories with 32 goals and 13 assists.
Harrisonville advances to the semi-finals with a 10-10-1 record and will face Whitfield from the St Louis area on the 19th at 5:00pm. Perryville and Excelsior Springs play in the other Class 3 semifinal game.
In Class 1 Maryville beat Smithton 1-0 to advance to the semi-finals. Maryville beat Chillicothe in the third game of the season. The Spoofhounds play Lutheran St Charles on the 19th at 12:00pm.
