The annual Festival of Lights kick-off will be Saturday night in Simpson Park. Festival of Lights Chair Barb Burton says the event begins at 5:00 pm with Santa arriving to help light the park.
The event will include complimentary hot chocolate and hot apple cider. There will be horse-drawn sleigh rides through the park for $1.00 per person. And bags of kettle corn will also be available for purchase.
Burton says Adam Mast will be providing Christmas music throughout the evening. And the park will be closed to through traffic during the lighting event.
She says all of this is possible through donations they receive
Donations for the Festival of Lights may be sent to: The Festival of Lights, P.O. Box 1032, Chillicothe. Donations may also be left in the donation box located in the park.
