In Chillicothe Middle School Basketball results from Monday night against Trenton, the Chillicothe 8th grade girls improved to 4-2 with a 38 to 10 win. Due to a player with an injury, some 7th grade players for Chillicothe played with the 8th grade team.
Emerson Staton led all players with 24 points, Hayden Hansen had 10, Landry Marsh and Bryleigh Gillespie each had two points. Six other CMS players saw playing time.
The 8th grade boys basketball team won 34 to 27. Jaishon White had 20 points, Luke Thompson with 7, Dane Ireland with 4, Drake Swift with 2 and Jackson Shafer with 1 point.
The 7th grade girls won 14-0 in a two-quarters game due to low numbers at Trenton. Chillicothe was led by Landry Marsh with 6, Lydia Bonderer and Bryleigh Gillespie with four each and playing time for four other players.
Chillicothe 7th grade boys also beat Trenton. The final score was not provided.
Logan Murrell had 22 points, Cooper Robinson 12, Max Probasco 8 and Jayden Martin, Layne Hamilton and Harrison Costner each with 2 points. Four others received playing time.
