Over the last several days, Coaches have been shifting from coaching fall sports to winter sports. For Chillicothe, Coach Tim Cunningham shifted from Boys Soccer Head Coach to Boys Basketball Assistant Coach. Darren Smith is jumping from Head Girls Golf Coach to Head Girls Basketball Coach. Also, Coach Chad Smith is shifting from Football Head Coach to Boys Wrestling Head Coach.
Smith says it isn’t that big of a jump for him. He says Coaches at all levels wish their football players also wrestled.
Coach Smith explains the two sports share similar skill sets.
Smith is pleased with the numbers out for wrestling. The season opens with a dual against Marshall on December 2nd.
