The Chillicothe boys basketball team jumped out to a huge first quarter lead and picked up a 40-point win at Trenton 75-35. Chillicothe led Trenton 32 to 5 at the end of the first quarter.
Hornets Coach Tim Cool said his boys showed great team work.
Eleven Chillicothe players saw playing time in the game and all eleven scored.
Griff Bonderer led the team with 19 points, Alijah Hibner had 10 points and nine rebounds, Wyatt Brandsgaard had nine points, James Mathew and Jackson Trout both finished with eight, Chace Corbin had five points and eight assists. Beau Costner had five points, Landon Winder with four points, Carson Samm with three and Isaiah Sprong and Ricky Wilson both had two each.
The Hornet girls and boys both travel to Macon for a double header on Tuesday. Both Games can be heard on KCHI
