Chillicothe Police Report For Friday – Sunday

The Chillicothe Police Department report for Friday – Sunday includes 215 Calls for service.  Some of the calls include:

Friday:

1:54 AM, Officers assisted EMS with a medical call in the 300 block of Woodrow Avenue.

8:47 AM, Officer received a report of harassment in the 1100 block of First Street.

2:16 PM, Officers responded to a report of trespassing in the 300 block of Mansur Street.  As a result of the investigation, Officers arrested a 37-year-old man for trespassing and possession of a controlled substance.  The man was processed and transferred to the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.

9:52 PM, Officer called to check the area on shagbark for an unattended fire.  Officer advised fire was located unattended, consisted of natural yard waste, and due to the windy conditions, Chillicothe Fire was called to extinguish the fire.

 

Saturday:

11:20 AM, Officer responded to debris in the roadway at Henry and Conn Street.  Officer discovered a tree had fallen over and obstructed power lines and the street.  CMU was contacted and the tree was removed.

12:47 PM, Officers responded to the 1000 block of Gilbert Street for a report of trespassing.  A 49-year-old male was arrested for trespassing and violation of an order of protection.  He was held at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.

8:46 PM, Officer responded to a report of a one-vehicle accident in a business parking lot in the 1000 block of Graves Street.  A driver made too sharp of a turn and struck a stop signpost.  Minor damage to the vehicle.

11:02 PM, Officers responded to the 400 block of JFK to conduct a well-being check of a resident.  The resident was found to need assistance and was taken to Hedrick Medical Center for treatment.

 

Sunday:

12:32 AM, Officers arrested a driver in the 200 block of Cherry Street for failing to register a motor vehicle and driving while revoked.  They were processed and released

12:38 PM, Officers received a report of a stolen motor vehicle in the 900 block of Waples Street.  Officer located the vehicle a short time later and arrested a 26-year-old man for theft of a motor vehicle and driving while revoked.  He was taken to the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail and the vehicle was returned to the owner without any damage.

7:25 PM, Officers responded to a report of a burglary and stealing in the 700 block of Vine Street.  A suspect has been identified and charges are pending.

 

8:11 PM, Officers responded to a report of an assault that occurred in Simpson Park.  The victim reported being assaulted by a subject for an unknown reason.  A suspect has been identified and charges are pending.

8:44 PM, Officers responded to the 2800 block of Grand Drive for a report of a two-vehicle non-injury accident.  Officers reported a driver back into a parked motor vehicle causing minor damage.

11:30 PM, Officers arrested a 32-year-old man for driving while suspended following a traffic stop at Broadway and Jackson Streets.  The man was processed, cited, and released.
