Chillicothe City Ward Boundary Changes Approved
The Chillicothe City Council approved new boundaries for the city’s four wards. The 1st Ward remains unchanged. However, the 2nd Ward boundary will be adjusted that will move 300 people from the 2nd to the 3rd Ward and 66 people from the 2nd to the 4th Ward.
The City Charter states the boundaries shall be established that the population of the wards shall be near as practicably equal. The boundaries are based on population, not registered voters.
New voter registration cards will be sent out to the 366 people affected by the change.
The new boundaries were approved by a 4 to 1 council vote.
