The Linn County restitution report for December shows the Prosecutor’s office collected $1,508.80 in restitution in the month and disbursed $3,743.80.
For the year, Linn County collected $47,986.78 in restitution and paid out $61,417.11.
At the end of 2020, Linn County had an outstanding restitution balance of $85,148.
At the end of 2021, the outstanding restitution balance was $61,012.63. Prosecuting Attorney Shiante McMahon says this includes new restitution orders for all cases in 2021.
McMahon says, for those defendants who have not made any payments, a Motion to Revoke Probation may be filed in their case.
