Chillicothe Police Report For Thursday

The Chillicothe Police Department responded to 113 calls for service Thursday.  Some of the calls include:

9:05 am, Subject calling from 600 block of Jackson Street about receiving harassing and threatening phone calls from a person known to them.  Officers located the suspect and they were taken into custody, processed and transferred to Daviess/DeKalb County Regional Jail.  They were later released pending further investigation.

12:55 pm, Report of a person obstructing traffic in the 600 to 1000 block of Graves Street.  Officers were unable to locate the subject.  The subject was later reported on the business lot in 600 block of S. Washington Street, going through trash receptacles.

2:06 pm, Officers responded to the 200 block of South Washington Street, in reference to suspicious activity.   One subject was placed under arrest for failure to register as sex offender with the Sheriff’s Office.

2:44 pm, Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Washington Street for a report of theft that occurred.   Information was taken and the investigation is continuing.

4:21 pm, Officer checking the welfare of a dog in a vehicle in the 1000 block of Graves Street.  Dog was OK, being moved to a warmer location.

4:27 pm, Officers assisting Animal Control with dog in the 1800 block of Fair Street.  AC took custody of the dog.

 

10:48pm, Report from subject of harassment by a tenant in the 800 block of State Street.  Officer advised the subject of protection orders and of eviction process.
