Livingston County Sheriff’s Report

The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department report for mid to late January includes several incidents and arrests.

Incident Reports:

January 16th deputies and EMS were dispatched to Wheeling for an unresponsive person who was found to be deceased.  Preliminary investigation suggests natural causes.  The coroner’s office was summoned to the scene.

January 17th deputies investigated Tampering with a Motor Vehicle in the 15000 block of LIV 243 as an unknown person stole the catalytic converter from a pickup.

January 19th, deputies investigated a report of some criminal tampering with another motor vehicle and stole the catalytic converter.

January 19th, deputies completed an investigation of domestic assault and possible child abuse from January 8th.  Additional information being submitted to prosecutor Adam Warren for consideration.

January 21st deputies responded to a death at a rural residence.  Preliminary investigation suggests the adult male passed from illness and/or natural causes.

January 21st deputies responded to an unattended death call.  The preliminary investigation was completed and the coroner’s office was notified.

The evening of January 25th deputies responded to a home in the Mooresville area for an unwanted person having entered their home without permission and stole some alcoholic beverages.  The investigation resulted in the arrest of 29-year-old Cerrina Collette Anders for alleged burglary and stealing.  She was held at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.

Other Arrests:

January 13th, deputies arrested 58-year-old William Dean Gardner Jr of Wheeling for alleged Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.  He is held at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail pending the filing of formal charges.  An arrest warrant on Gardner is also issued for alleged Forgery violation on a case the Chillicothe Police had investigated.

January 21st, deputies arrested 41-year-old Shawn Marie Oliver of Chula when she surrendered on a warrant for a seatbelt violation.  Oliver posted the $10 bond.

January 25th, deputies arrested 27-year-old Trey Benjamin Holcom of Utica on a Livingston County warrant as he surrendered for alleged Endanging the Welfare of a Child-Creating Substantial Risk-1st degree-1st offense-No Sexual Contact.  He was held at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail in lieu of $5,000 bond.
