A District Championship is on the line tonight for the winner of an intense Basketball rivalry. The Chillicothe Lady Hornets meet St Joseph Benton at Benton high school for a berth in the Class 4 Girls High School Basketball tournament.
Chillicothe beat Benton early in the season in the Savannah Tournament Semi Finals, but lost at Benton in the conference game 55 to 25.
Lady Hornets Coach Darren Smith said defense might be the key to victory.
In the Conference match up, Chillicothe shot only 8-of-21 from two-point range and 2-of-22 from three point range, or just 23% from the floor compared to Benton’s 58%.
