Chillicothe Renews Economic Development Contract

The City of Chillicothe will continue to use the Economic Development Service of Terry Rumery and Rumery and Associates.  The Council approved the contract which is a consulting services agreement to work to improve the economic base of the city and surrounding area.  Under the contract, the City pays $36,000 a year.  That amount is split between The Chillicothe Development Corporation, Farmers Electric Cooperative, and Chillicothe Municipal Utilities, with FEC, CDC, and CMU reimbursing the city $9,000 each.

The amount paid has not increased for several years.
