Chillicothe Fire Captain Completes Leadership Training

A Captain with the Chillicothe Fire Department recently completed The Fire Service Leadership Enhancement Program, (FSLEP) a unique professional development program designed to enhance the leadership skills of fire and rescue service executives.  Captain Derrick Allen completed the program meant specifically to prepare fire and emergency service leaders for the opportunities and challenges they face today and in the future.

The University of Missouri Fire and Rescue Training Institute partnered with the Missouri Association of Fire Chiefs and the Missouri Association of Fire Protection Districts to sponsor the program that met in three sessions, focusing on building critical leadership skills, utilizing management theory, and learning best practices from practitioners in the fire service.

Chief Eric Reeter completed the same program last summer.
