It was a matchup of Hornets on the links last night as Chillicothe’s boys golf team squared off with Penny High School at Green Hills Golf Course for their season opener.
CHS golfers held the two lowest scores of the afternoon as James Mathew came in at 46 strokes, which was good for the lowest score, and Kyle Young completed 9 holes in 52 strokes.
Steven Trout missed the meet with an illness, but Tyler Stephens are Carson Stamm rounded out the varsity 5 with a 54 and 62 respectively.
Penny High School had 4 golfers with sub 60 stoke finishes, and lowest score went to Nate Wyckoff with a 53.
Chillicothe took down Penny 214 to 224. They’ll be in action tonight against Cameron High School at Green Hills Golf Course.
