A Chillicothe restaurant near Business 36 and Washington Street was a total loss following a fire Tuesday evening. The call came in at about 4:30 for the Fire at China Garden Buffet. The Chillicothe Fire Department arrived and called for all hands. Both ladder trucks and the pumper were on the scene for the fire that may have started in the ceiling.
Fire Chief Eric Reeter says the building is a total loss.
Trenton fire Department was called to the “stand by” in the event of other calls.
The State Fire Marshall was called to the scene. The investigation revealed this was an electrical fire in the ceiling. It started in an area above the serving line.
