Boys Tennis was back on the blacktop against St. Joseph Benton at Danner Park.
Chillicothe’s Chace Corbin beat Benton’s Sutton Redemer 8-2 in the top singles match. In the second singles match, Chillicothe’s Gabe Peterson topped Rylan Piepergerdes 8-0.
In number 3 singles, Hornet Emmet Young defeated Bradyn Hayes 8-2. Chilli’s Josh Adams overtook Lawson Simpson with the same score.
CHS’ Jaden Collins beat Carson Bremer 8-0. While Jackson Reeter had the closest win of any Hornet, 8-4.
The duo of Corbin and Josh Adams prevailed in the tops doubles match 8-2.
In the number two doubles match, Peterson and Young got the best of Redemer and Alada 8-4.
Collins and Reeter completed the sweep of Benton when they shutout Simpson and Bremer 8-0.
For the second match in a row, the Hornets got a clean sweep of their opponent; 9-0.
Boys Tennis is now 3-1 and will compete in the Kirksville Tournament this weekend.
