Work On Daviess County Bridge Delayed Due To Weather

The work on the Sampson Creek bridge rehabilitation project on Route Z, l just west of Pattonsburg, has been pushed back two days due to weather. The work that had been scheduled to begin Monday will start on Wednesday, April 20th.

The Missouri Department of Transportation has contracted with Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. to replace the bridge’s deck.  Crews now plan to close the bridge to all traffic on Wednesday at approximately 7:00 a.m. The bridge will remain closed through mid-June 2022. During the closure, motorists will be detoured over Route AA, Route T, and US Route 69.

When complete, the bridge will be up to current standards and the current load posting which limits the speed of vehicles greater than 21 tons, will be removed.

All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
