Spring Cleaning for CHS Boys Tennis as They Sweep Cameron 9-0

Fresh off their Kirksville Tournament win from last week, the Chillicothe boys tennis team was in action against the Cameron Dragons on Monday night.

Chace Corbin continues to have a red-hot senior season taking out Cameron’s Spencer Pratt 8-5 in number one singles.

In the number two singles, Gabe Peterson topped Sam Smith 8-1 for Chillicothe. While Hornet Emmett Young bested Brett Henrey 8-2 in the number three singles match.

Number four singles featured Chillicothe’s Josh Adams overcoming Noah Jaggers of Cameron, 8-4.

Jaden Collins and Jackson Reeter both swept their opponents 8-0 for Chillicothe.

Doubles matches had a similar tune for the Hornets. In the top doubles match, Corbin and Peterson ran the table on Cameron’s Pratt and Henrey.

The number two doubles match was another win for the Hornets as the duo of Peterson and Young fought for an 8-4 victory.

Chillicothe pulled off a clean sweep of Cameron when Collins and Reeter shutout Riley Ragan and Alex Shaw, 8-0.

Hornets win the match 9-0 and look forward to a matchup Tuesday night against Trenton High School.
