Livingston County Sheriff’s Report

The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department report for mid April includes several incidents and arrests.

April 10 deputies responded to a location in Ludlow on a domestic violence report.  The  Investigation led to a vehicle chase.  The vehicle was stopped in Caldwell County and deputies arrested Brandon Lee Farris, 28, Ludlow, for alleged Domestic Assault.  He was taken to the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail and later released.

April 15 deputies began an investigation into the theft of a purse and wallet from a vehicle in Chula.  The investigation continues.

Deputies were called for two unattended deaths in the month.  Both appear to be of natural causes.

 

Other Arrests:

April 07 a deputy made a vehicle stop for no license plates and subsequently arrested Steven Michael Baker, 23, Chillicothe on a Chillicothe Municipal warrant for alleged Failure to Appear in Court for expired plates. Baker posted the $90 bond and was released with a new court date.

April 07 Tyler Gene Harper, 29, Kirksville on Livingston County warrant for alleged Probation Violation on original class D felony Possession of Controlled Substance.  Harper was transferred to DDRJ in lieu of $20,000 bond.

April 07 deputies served 3 Livingston County warrants on William Dean Gardner Jr., 58, Wheeling.  Two warrants were for alleged Failure to Register as a Sex Offender and one for alleged Forgery.  Gardner was held at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail..

April 07 LCSO deputies served a Livingston County warrant on Katie Amanda Rice, 28, Kirksville for alleged Possession of a Controlled Substance.  She was held with $20,000 bond.

April 07 Jesse Jay Deshazier, 41, Chillicothe, arrested on Livingston County warrant for alleged Violation of Bond Conditions on original charge of alleged  Delivery of Controlled Substance.  Mr. Deshazier was transferred to DDRJ in lieu of $20,000 bond.

April 07 Nora Pearl Evans, 52, Wheeling, was arrested on Livingston County warrant for alleged Possession of Controlled Substance.  Ms. Evans was transferred to DDRJ in lieu of $20,000 bond.

April 07 arrested Joseph Brett Murphy,39, Lexington, on Livingston County warrant for alleged Driving While Revoked/Suspended.  He was processed and released.

 

Additional Information:

Sheriff Cox says a deputy was involved in a prisoner transport and the person in custody was reportedly coming down from Fentanyl and had been medically cleared for confinement.   Cox says the prisoner became a significant problem for the transport officer… kicking the doors, and trying to get out of transport restraints.
