Chillicothe Street Projects For This Year
The Chillicothe Street Projects have begun. Street Superintendent Jeff Gillespie says there are several projects scheduled, including the work on Irving that has already begun.
Gillespie says the gas lines that are moved will be completely out of the street so the new street surface will not need to be cut if service is needed.
Engineering Underway On Phase 3
Preliminary work on phase 3 of the Chillicothe Streets Program has started. Street Superintendent Jeff Gillespie says that work will include 2nd Street, Maple Street, and International.
The Engineers are beginning to work on the plans for the project. Gillespie says the biggest issue is on International, with sewer drainage and the depth of the lines. CMU General Manager Matt Hopper says they are working on the necessary plans.
Gillespie says the design work is about three months out and they will then go out for bid.
