Chillicothe Police Report For Thursday

The Chillicothe Police Department responded to 86 calls for service Thursday.  Those calls include:

7:26 am, dispatchers received Numerous 911 calls into Dispatch and no one responded at the other end.  The location was plotted and Officers investigated.   They determined the calls were made by a child playing with a phone.   The Police Department reminds parents that even deactivated cell phones can place a 911 call.  Don’t allow young children to play with cell phones as they may call 911.

12:24 pm, Officer responded to City Hall to check on a person that had walked away from a treatment home in the 1300 block of Monroe Street.  The facility was contacted to pick up the individual.

5:56 pm, Officers received a report of a person slumped over in a car in the 200 block of Slack Street.  Officers made contact with the person who appeared to be under the influence of an unknown drug and suspected narcotics were seized.  The person was taken into custody and subsequently released pending further investigation and laboratory analysis of the seized substance.

7:29 pm, officers took a report of fake currency used in a purchase in the 400 block of Jackson Street.  A description of the person was taken and the person was identified.  The investigation continues.
