Resurfacing work on US 36 in Livingston County has been postponed.  The work that had been expected to begin today (Monday) has been postponed a couple days, and should begin Wednesday.  The resurfacing project includes eastbound from Route C to Parson’s Creek, just over the Linn County line, and westbound from Parson’s Creek to Coon Creek.

The current schedule includes:

June 8 – 17: Concrete pavement repairs, both directions

June 20 – 30: Roadside work, westbound only, at the Leeper Creek Bridge, just east of Chillicothe

July 5 – Aug. 18: Guardrail work, both directions

Aug. 24 – Sept. 12: Pavement repairs, both directions

Sept. 6 – Oct. 27: Resurfacing, shoulder work, and striping, both directions

The roadway will remain open, but traffic may be reduced to a single lane in either direction.

All work is expected to be complete by the end of October.  A 16-foot width restriction will be in place for the duration of the project.
