Four Day Police Report From The Chillicothe PD

The Chillicothe Police Report For Friday – Monday includes accidents, investigations, and arrests.

 

Friday,   118 calls for service

03:00 AM Officers located a suspect known to have an active arrest warrant at a business in the 200 block of Washington. Officers arrested a 37-year-old man on the Livingston County arrest warrant for stealing.  He was taken to the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.

10:00 AM A stealing investigation was conducted in the 500 block of Baptist Home Ln. in which the victim’s debit devices had been used and money had been taken from them. Investigation is to continue.

3:00 PM Officers responded near the Mohawk and US 190 intersection for a two-vehicle crash without injuries.

5:14 PM Officers took a report of a possible assault in the 1500 block of Walnut. A suspect has been identified and an investigation is underway.

5:22 PM Officers took a report of a two-vehicle crash without injuries in the 700 block of Calhoun Street.

05:23 PM Officers took a report of a two-vehicle crash without injuries near the intersection of Graves and Olive Street.

 

Saturday, 53 calls for service

09:16 AM Officers took a report of a stolen firearm from the 2900 block of Bel Air. Investigation is to continue.

 

Sunday,

12:53 AM, Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Third Street and Wilson Street. The driver of the vehicle was impaired by alcohol and unsafe to drive, a 46-year-old woman was arrested and released. During the investigation, a 48-year-old man began yelling and screaming. He was arrested for disorderly conduct and released with a summons.

9:05 AM, Officers were assisting with the residential fire on Heriford, when a 34-year-old man began running towards the scene swinging a hammer. The man was told to drop the hammer and go home and he complied.  Later, Officers heard yelling in the 200 block of Brunswick St and contacted the same man. The man was arrested for peace disturbance, child endangerment, and resisting arrest.

11:40 AM, Officers responded to the 500 block of Washington for a man passed out in an alley. The man appeared to have been huffing air duster.  The Chillicothe Fire Department respond for medical attention. The investigation is continuing.

5:33 PM, Officers took a report of property damage at Danner Park. Wires had been ripped out of an electrical box. The investigation is ongoing.

09:58 PM, Officers responded to a crash at the intersection of Washington St. and Park Ln. Officers determined that the crash actually occurred at the intersection of Hwy 190 and Washington St.  As a result of the accident, a driver was cited for failing to yield to a stop light.

 

Monday:   111 calls for service

9:10am, a person came to the police department and turned themselves in on a warrant for assault.  They were able to post the required bond.

10:51 am, Officers responded to the intersection of Washington and Clay Street for a two-vehicle non-injury accident.   One driver was cited for following too closely.

1:47 pm, Officers responded to the 1500 block of Fair Street for a reported assault.   Officers made contact with the victim who had physical injuries to their face. The suspect had fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival.   That suspect, a 23-year-old from Chillicothe, was later located in the 300 block of Jackson Street and arrested, cited, and released.
