Area MoDOT Projects To Start Monday

Two MoDOT projects in the area will start Monday.

In Livingston County

The resurfacing project on US 36 in Livingston county that had been delayed from early this week has been pushed back again.  The Missouri Department of Transportation says the contractor, Herzog Contracting Corp is now scheduled to begin Monday, June 13.

The project extends eastbound from Route C to Parson’s Creek, just over the Linn County line, and westbound from Parson’s Creek to Coon Creek.

While the start date has been moved back by a week from the original schedule, the project is still scheduled to be completed by the end of October.

In Carroll County

The roadway slide repairs on Route Z in Carroll County are scheduled to begin Monday.  The Missouri Department of Transportation says the road has been closed since May of 2020, when officials determined the damage to the roadway caused unsafe travel conditions.

The scheduled work will include rock fill at the slide location, edge drain installation, and erosion control measures. When the slide has been repaired, the roadway where the slide occurred will be resurfaced. The contractor plans to have all repairs completed and the roadway reopened to traffic on or before August 12th.
