Chillicothe Police Report For Tuesday

The Chillicothe Police Department responded to 98 calls for service Tuesday.  Some of the calls include:

8:59 am, Officers investigated a report of what sounded like a gunshot in the area of the 500 block of Elmdale Road.  Officers were unable to locate source.

9:28 am, Subject in the PD to report possible animal abuse in the 500 block of Jackson Street.  Investigation continuing.

10:54 am, Officers reported to the 10 block of Jennifer Lane for a report of a person that had sustained an injury to their arm.  The Officers found that the person had been bleeding severely and was already been taken to Hedrick Medical Center for treatment.  They were later transferred to a Kansas City area treatment facility by helicopter.

1:15 pm, Officers responded to a person contemplating self-harm in the 400 block of Cowgill Street.  That person voluntarily submitted themselves for evaluation and treatment at Hedrick Medical Center.

3:10 pm, Reported hit and run accident on the lot in the 1000 block of Graves Street.  A vehicle reportedly backed into another and left the scene.  Investigation is continuing and a suspect identified.

8:26 pm Officers out in the 300 block of Mansur Street with an abandoned vehicle.  Vehicle not reported as stolen and towed from the property at the property owner’s request.

8:35 pm, Officers assisted in locating a young girl that had wandered off from the 100 block of E. Second Street.  The girl was located in the area and returned to their residence.
