Weekend Report For Chillicothe Police

The Chillicothe Police Department responded to nearly 150 calls for service over the weekend.  Some of the calls include:

Sunday

01:15 a.m., Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Graves St. and Jameson St.  The K9 was deployed to conduct a free air sniff of the vehicle and alerted to the odor of drugs in the vehicle. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed controlled substances and paraphernalia.  A 24-year-old man was arrested and held at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail pending formal charges.

02:10 p.m., Officers responded to the 400 block of Walnut St. for a motor vehicle crash. Where a driver struck a parked vehicle which struck another parked motor vehicle.

 

Saturday

12:55 a.m., Officers conducted a traffic stop near Woodrow St. and Crescent Dr. for exceeding the posted speed limit.  Officers conducted field sobriety tests and determined the driver was under the influence and the man was arrested for driving while intoxicated and driving while revoked. The man was cited and released.
