Warrant Issued For Joshua Charlton

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Chillicothe Police Officer Joshua Charlton.  Charlton was originally arrested Friday (August 26th) by the Missouri Highway Patrol for alleged Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree.  He was previously released on his own recognizance.

Following a review of the complaint and the probable cause statement, the court ordered Charlton to be taken into custody.  The online information indicates that the court determined a summons was insufficient as the defendant poses a danger to the victim.  The court issued the warrant that includes bond set at $10,000 cash only and special conditions that include bond supervision and no contact with the victim.

The court also received a motion for a change of judge filed by the defendant.  That motion was granted and presiding Judge Horsman assigned the case to Judge Darin L Adkins.
