Hornets Football Falls Short Against Kirksville 40-14.

The Chillicothe Hornets lost to the Kirksville Tigers by a score of 40-14 on Friday night.

Chillicothe took the first play from scrimmage 84 yards to the house on a run from senior Cayden Potter to take a 7-0 lead 15 seconds into the game.

Kirksville responded by scoring 40 unanswered points following that opening-play touchdown. Senior quarterback Isaac Danielson had four total touchdowns on the night (2 rushing, 2 passing) for the Tigers.

Chillicothe was able to put together a solid drive late to cut the deficit to 26 on a 2-yard touchdown scamper from senior Brock Miller. That gave us the final score of 40-14.

The Hornets are back in action next Friday when they travel to Maryville to take on the Spoofhounds at 7 pm.
