The Chillicothe Softball team took down the Trenton Bulldogs by a score of 8-7 on Wednesday night. Kinlei Boley was the hero for the Lady Hornets, hitting a solo homerun in the bottom of the 7th inning to walk it off.
Boley also had a 3-run homer in the bottom of the 1st inning to get the scoring started for the Lady Hornets. She finished the game batting a perfect 4-for-4 with 4 RBIs.
Hadley Beemer started the game on the mound for Chillicothe, lasting six innings and allowing six hits and seven runs. Kinlei Boley earned the win as she came in for the final inning and allowed zero hits and zero runs while striking out two of the three batters in the top of the 7th.
Chillicothe tallied 13 hits on the evening, with Boley, Bre Pithan, and Hope Helton all contributing multiple hits. The Lady Hornets did not commit an error in the field all game long.
This improves the Lady Hornets record to 7-3 on the season. They are back in action on Saturday at 9 am when the take on Maryville at home.
