Chillicothe Police Report For Saturday

The Chillicothe Police Department responded to 67 calls for service Saturday.  Some of the calls include:

7:42 am, Power outage in the area of Herriman and Wise.  Sounded like gunshot or explosion.  Officers checking the area and Municipal Utilities notified.  No report.  Believe weather related.

4:03pm, Officers and Emergency Services dispatched to a residence in 1700 block of Fair Street for an unresponsive subject.  The 38-year-old subject was determined deceased and no foul play is suspected.  The Livingston County Coroner’s Office was contacted to take custody of the subject.  Cause of death undetermined at this time.

5:54pm, Officers responded to the area of US 36 and US 65 to check well-being of a subject reported to be slumped over the steering wheel of a car.  Officers were unable to locate the vehicle at the reported location, but observed a vehicle that matched the description and it was northbound on Washington Street.  The vehicles actions were observed and it was stopped by Officer for traffic violations.  The 43-year-old operator was determined to be driving while impaired, was arrested and transported to the PD where they were processed, cited for Driving While Intoxicated and released.

8:55pm, Officers reported to a 9-year-old having received injuries to their face after becoming entangled in a dog’s restraining cable and falling on a sidewalk.  Incident occurred in the 300 block of Walnut Street.  The child was transported to Hedrick Medical Center and treated for injuries that were inflicted by their eyeglasses injuring their face and not inflicted by the dog.
