Head Coach Jennifer Dickson talked about her team following the meet.
“Seriously proud of these kids. It was so hot and they didn’t complain, they didn’t make excuses, and they didn’t quit. While the conditions were pushing dangerous, (we did discuss ways to remain cool and hydrated, and that if at any point they felt overheated or sick to immediately stop) they competed and represented themselves well. I was definitely blessed with a great group of runners! I am patiently waiting for the temps to drop for a meet and to watch them fly!”
The Cross Country team is hosting a Run-a-thon on Thursday night at the track from 7-8pm. Come out and watch about 30 kids (middle school & high school) run in circles around the track for an hour to raise funds for the program!
