-The Laclede United Methodist Men hold their annual Whole Hog and Pancake Day, drive-thru only, Saturday from 10 to 2. You can call or text – they prefer text – 573-999-6531 to pre-order. Pickup outside the Laclede Methodist Fellowship Hall, free-will donations accepted.
-Knights of Columbus and Bishop Hogan School invites the public to their annual Fish Fry Dinners on 4 Fridays during Lent, Feb. 19, 26, March 5 and 12. The Dinners will be offered Drive-Through only, from 5-7:00 pm. at 1114 Trenton Street. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children up to 12 years old.
-The 14th Annual Polar Plunge has been moved to February 20th in Chillicothe. Brave men and women from around the area will don costumes and swimwear and take “polar” dips into a cold body of water at Simpson Park in Chillicothe, MO.
All proceeds from this year’s event will benefit training and competition for the 1,200 Special Olympics Missouri athletes here in the North Area.
The Polar Plunge is open to anyone 10 years of age or older. The event is hosted by Chillicothe Correctional Center and will take place at Simpson Park. Day-of registration begins at 11:00 am and the Plunge starts promptly at 1:00 pm. Pee Wee Plunge will take place for all those 9yrs and younger prior to the main event.

-There will be a “Rogue Christian Conference” on Saturday, Feb. 20 from 9:30 to 3:30 at Faithview Ministries in Jamesport. No cost to attend. register at theroguechristian.com or call 719-888-5144.
-The Missouri River Bird Observatory annual photo contest continues until the end of the month. The theme is “Hope is the Thing with Feathers.” There are four categories for photo entries based on bird species. The contest is open for both youth and adult entries. Guidelines for photos and details on submission for the contest can be found on the MRBO website.
-Carroll County Memorial Hospital’s Jefferson Medical Group has suspended its Saturday clinics in Carrollton until further notice. Hale and Norborne clinics are also suspended until further notice. Call (660) 542-1695 with questions.
-The Missouri Department of Conservation announces that all managed waterfowl hunts are now designated COVID Red Level
-First Christian Church of Chillicothe has cancelled in-person services until further notice.
