Marceline Train Derailment Aftermath

Things are getting back to normal in Marceline after a freight train derailed there Thursday. Officials say there were no injuries and no hazardous freight on the train. A Social Media post by the City of Marceline stated railroad crossings at Hauser Street, Crocker Street, and Santa Fe are now open, after being closed due to the derailment.

Highway Patrol Reports Several Area Arrests

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports arresting a Marceline man Friday. 22-year-old Andrew Veatch of Marceline was arrested at 12:15 pm in Schuyler County for alleged possession of less than 10 grams of marijuana.
