A Trenton man was booked into the Grundy County Jail on a warrant for alleged failure to appear for a payment hearing following a guilty plea on a charge of DWI. Forty-eight year old Matthew Haden Waddle was booked Friday. Local bond is set at $342.

Repairs to a Low-Water Crossing near Jamesport are taking longer, due to the recent weather. A portion of LIV 500 has been closed by the Livingston County Road and Bridge crew between SW 68th Avenue and SW 55th Avenue through July 14th, as weather permits.

A portion of Ann Street in Chillicothe will be closed beginning tonight for a paving project. Street Superintendent Jeff Gilespie says they will close Ann between Cherry and Walnut tonight. The paving will begin around 6:30 am Tuesday.

Celebrate Freedom Concert
The Grand River Historical Society will host the 2025 Celebrate Freedom Concert on Friday, July 4th.
