Man Charged In Incidents At Caldwell County Detention Center

A man who had been held at the Caldwell County Detention Center faces charges for incidents that allegedly took place at the facility.  Thirty-three-year-old Ryan Christopher Katzer was detained at the facility on May 22nd and 23rd, the dates of the two incidents.

In one case, Katzer is charged with alleged two counts each of endangering a correctional employee and assault involving special victims.  In that incident, Katzer allegedly caused two employees to come in contact with bodily fluids.

In the second incident, Katzer is charged with damage to jail property.  That charge is the result of alleged tampering with a sprinkler system.  That incident resulted in activating the sprinkler system and flooding the booking area.
