The one million dollar renovation of the Livingston County Courthouse has begun and Presiding Commissioner Ed Douglas says Courthouse Security is part of the project. He says they have already replaced the south door of the courthouse and work will begin Monday on the north door.
In addition to the work on the doors, they will also ad a handicapped ramp to the west side parking lot.
Douglas says when the work is done on the north door, that will be the only entrance to the courthouse.
Other work planned at the courthouse include cleaning and tuck-pointing, replacing the roof while keeping the same roof tiles and replacing windows.
