The Chillicothe Boys Basketball Teams were honored for the season’s team and personal accomplishments. The Chillicothe Boys Varsity team finished 14-11 overall before losing in the district semi-finals.
It marked the final season for six seniors. Head Coach Tim Cool said this was a bittersweet night.
No individual awards were presented. Coach Cool stated he has always believed in the “team” concept over individual awards.
The Coaches stated a rare road win at Benton, and a December victory over eventual final final four competitor Plattsburg as season highlights.
According to the keeper of Hornet Sports statistics, KCHI Sports Director Randy Dean, one school record and two other top ten performances were set.
CJ Pfaff set the school record for steals in a season with 76, breaking Nate McKiddy’s record by three.
Westley Brandsgaard made 125 free throws in the season, good for seventh place all time.
The team shot 53.59% in two point field goals, good for second place all time.
