The Hornets baseball team returns to action Monday when they host the Macon Tigers.
The Hornets are 1-1 with a 1-0 loss at Lawson and a 10-0 five inning home win vs. Trenton. They were rained out of a scheduled game at Richmond.
The Hornets will likely need strong pitching and good defense to slow down Macon.
The Tigers are 2-0 with a 15-0 win at Salisbury and a 17-0 win at Schuyler County. They had to postpone one game at Moberly due to weather.
The Chillicothe vs. Macon Varsity game is at 5:00 pm at Chuck Haney Field at June Shaffer Park in Chillicothe. The Junior Varsity game will follow the Varsity game.
