The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department report for the month of March includes several investigation, drug cases and arrests. Some of the highlights include:
On March 12th, a child in Wheeling called 911. The deputies responded, but no-one answered the door. The deputy found a vehicle in the driveway had a stolen license plate. After several attempts to get someone to answer the door, the report states the door was forced open and they found three adults and two children who all appeared to be safe. The stolen license plates were seized and information collected. The investigation continues.
March 26 deputies began an investigation of a possible child sex offense that took place in Livingston County a few years ago. Multiple people are being interviewed.
March 28 the deputies responded to a call to the western part of Livingston County to check the wellbeing of a man. The deputies found the man had died in a secured building. The report states it was likely a suicide.
March 24th, a driver was stopped on Liv 235 north of Liv 2364. The driver was arrested for alleged Driving While Suspended and found to be in possession of alleged methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Twenty-eight year old Michael Alan Knowles of Meadville was arrested and held at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.
