The deadline for filing your state and federal income tax return is April 15th. IRS Spokesman Michael Devine says there is still plenty of time to file, but if you don’t think you can file your taxes by the deadline, you need to file an extension.
Devine says if you have completed your return and find you owe, make sure you have your payment in on time.
Devine says if you are going to wait and mail in your return, be sure you have a reminder so you don’t file late.
