The City of Chillicothe is under a Burn Ban. Chillicothe Fire Chief Darrell Wright issued the Burn Ban for today due to the dry conditions and high winds expected. The burn ban means there is no outdoor burning allowed with the exception of for cooking.
Wright also issued a Burn Advisory for all of Livingston County. Livingston County residents considering doing any burning should use extra caution and take measures to prevent the spread of any fires. If you are doing any burning and lose control of the fire call for assistance before the fire spreads and causes damage to others property.
