Chillicothe Hornets bats were hot in a 12-2 baseball win at Cameron. The Hornets banged out 13 hits in the game.
Chillicothe scored four in the 3rd, three in the 4th, four in the 6th and one in the 7th inning for the win.
Chillicothe’s Dawson Wheeler led the hit parade with a triple, double and single with three RBI. Brock Ward and Jaden Winder both had a double and a single.
Picking up two singles each were Kam Ward and Tucker Wagers.
Mason Baxter and Isaih Kille both had singles.
Winder and Kam Ward both also had three RBI each.
Baxter had three stolen bases.
On the mound Wheeler and Baxter combined for the six innings win, allowing two runs off just two hits with two strike outs and seven walks.
Cameron picked up seven runs in the third inning to win the Junior Varsity game 10 to 4. For Chillicothe, Chandler Stedem had a double, Landon Swift, Miles Cobb and Julius Humphrey all had a single.
Myles Cobb and Tucker Burtch were on the mound, allowing 10 runs off 12 hits with one strike out and three walks.
