The Chillicothe Hornets Golf Team showed improvement on the same course from one week ago. The Hornets finished 9th in the St Joseph LeBlond Golf Tournament.
Coach Jim Wheeler said his team shot a 423 on the St Joseph Country Club Course. It was an improvement of 9 strokes from their Conference tournament finish on the same course last week.
In the LeBlond Tournament, LeBlond had the medalist when Hank Lierz show a 70, but St Pius won the team title with a 32 including having the second, third and fifth place golfers.
For Chillicothe, Colby Gillespie was the only Hornet to shoot in double figures with a 99. Spencer Shira had a 103, C J Williams had a 110, Gage Leamer a 111 and Dalton Ripley a 121.
The tournament had 11 full teams and one incomplete team.
Two Hornet Golfers shot in the Junior Varsity tournament. Nate King shot a 116 and Keagan Valbracht shot at 125.
