The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department report for late April includes several incidents.
April 17th, the School Resource Officer investigated an incident at Danner Park during a school baseball game. Two young juveniles were found to have stolen a wallet, keys, $20, $25 gift card, iPhone and headphones from the opposing team’s bus. Items were returned to the players. Parents were notified and a report was sent to juvenile authorities.
April 21st a deputy attempted to stop a vehicle in Wheeling with expired plates. The vehicle got away but was located a short time later at the drivers home. The driver was ticketed for Driving While Suspended/Revoked and expired plates.
April 23rd, property damage, and trespassing were investigated in rural Livingston County. Someone had shot several windows out of a tractor parked in a field.
April 24th officers investigated reports of a male acting extremely strange in the middle of the night in rural areas. The person was located at a home in Chillicothe and his vehicle was searched. The deputy seized a bottle of oxycodone which had been recently filled but was nearly empty. Additional evidence was seized which supports the medication was not being used properly. A report was sent to the prosecuting attorney.
April 25th a deputy stopped a speeding vehicle on US 36 for 86 in a 65. The deputy noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The report states the driver had passed marijuana to the passenger to hide in the car. The deputy arrested 30-year-old Tawuan M. Marchbanks of Kansas City for alleged Driving While Revoked/Suspended, Excessive Speed – 86 in a 65 and Possession of alleged 11-35 grams of marijuana.
