State Troopers report one accident and two drug arrests in the local counties Wednesday.
A Salisbury woman was injured in a single-vehicle accident Wednesday evening in Chariton County. At about 5:55 pm, 51-year-old Laurie Hurt was westbound on Hamden Road when she ran off the road and struck a ditch. Hurt was not wearing a safety belt and was taken to Moberly Regional Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
Troopers in Sullivan County arrested two Green Castle residents at about 6:55 pm. Troopers arrested 38-year-old Brittany Wright for alleged possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. They also arrested 33-year-old Dwane Rouse for alleged Possession of a firearm, distribution of a controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. They were both processed at the Sullivan County Jail and released
