Jerry Litton Memorial Stadium in Chillicothe will be a busy place today with two track meets going on at the same time. Chillicothe will be hosting district meets today for Class 3 and Class 4.
Competing schools include:
Class 3 District 8: Cameron, Central Academy of Excellence, Chillicothe, Cristo Rey, Ewing Marion Kauffman Charter, Hogan Prep Academy Charter, Lawson, Maryville, Pembroke Hill, Richmond, St. Pius X (Kansas City) and Trenton.
Class 4 District 8: Benton, East (Kansas City), Excelsior Springs, Kearney, Lafayette (St. Joseph), Lincoln College Prep, Northeast (Kansas City), Platte County, Savannah, Smithville, Van Horn, and Winnetonka
Field events begin at 9:00am and running events begin at 11:00am.
The Chillicothe Boys Tennis team is in Excelsior Springs today for individual district competition. Players will try to advance through individual and doubles district tournaments.
