Chillicothe Police Report Includes An Arrest And Accident

Chillicothe police responded to 109 calls for service Friday, including one accident and one arrest.

12:10 am, Officers responded to a residential alarm in the 400 block of Webster Street.  The alarm was accidentally activated.

7:25 am, Motor vehicle crash on Ryan Lane at the Ryan Lane Bridge.  The driver was unable to see the barricade that had been set up, due to the sun blinding them and struck the barricade.  The driver had not been aware of the closing of the bridge to vehicular traffic.

12:40 pm, Officer provided a child safety talk at Bishop Hogan Early Learning Center.

1:50 pm, Officer spoke with an individual about a possible scam over the phone.  Everyone is advised not to provide their information over the phone.

5:17 pm, Officer recovered some illegal drugs that had been dropped on the floor of a business in the 500 block of South Washington Street.  The substance was collected and will be destroyed.

6:15 pm, Officers arrested an individual on a Probation violation warrant at an address in the 1300 block of Third Street.  The person was transported to the PD, processed and transported to the Daviess/DeKalb County Regional Jail by PD Officer.

7:55 pm, Officers were requested to check the well-being of a person in the 1400 block of Keith Street.  The person was found to be in need of assistance for the mental issue.

10:20 pm, officers made a check on the well-being of a person in the 300 block of Hillcrest.  That person was found to have fallen down while outside their residence and Emergency Services was called to the scene.
